Unexpected Abundance
My Story
Hi there! My name is Jorge, and I'm the creator of Unexpected Abundance. I'm so happy that you're here, whether it's to learn about running or just to browse around. Here's what to expect from the page: a lot of content on running! Although I'm not a professional, I've learned a few things that I'd like to share with the running community, whether you're an experienced runner, or you're thinking about starting. A little background on my running history: I've completed two races (LA Marathon & San Diego Rock N' Roll Half-Marathon) and ran over 500 miles. It may not seem like much, but trust me, I've learned a lot. I've made a ton of mistakes throughout my running journey and sometimes, I've wanted to quit because I didn't have a guide or mentor to help me navigate the difficult parts of this journey. This is where the blog comes in! I want to help and offer as much advice as I can to anybody who wants to get their running journey started, or who is already underway. Although running can be difficult at times, the upside is so much greater as it offers so many benefits to not only your physical state, but your mental state as well. Running has changed my life for the better, and I want others to experience what I've experienced.

I want to reiterate that I'm not a professional! I want to grow our community into an environment where we learn from each other. As I learn new things, I'll share them here. If I experience something that doesn't benefit me, whether it's a lack of preparation, or mistakes I make during training, I'll also share them here. This page is meant to motivate and educate others to live a healthy life through running. If running isn't your thing, don't worry! I'll make sure to write blogs about other forms of exercise as well.

Thank you again for stopping by. Take your time to look around and I hope you enjoy your stay.
